Dennis Craig Howlett, 70, of Ford City, died Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at ACMH Hospital.

Born January 25, 1947, in Kittanning, he was a son of the late John Harrison and Mary Margaret (Wyant) Howlett.

Mr. Howlett was raised in Appleby Manor Presbyterian Church, and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Kittanning.

He worked at Gimbel's Department Store, Monroeville, until its closing, then was employed by Andy's Market, Manor Township. He also worked at Daily's Juice of Verona and Oakmont Windows. He enjoyed watching old John Wayne movies and Star Trek, and picnicking in the yard.

He is survived by his wife, Linda (Simensky) Howlett; his son, Joshua Allen Howlett of Ford City; a grandson, Blaik Orry Howlett; and two brothers, John Edward (Carol) Howlett of Belle Vernon, and Larry James Howlett of Pittsburgh.

Friends will be welcomed from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Friday, in the Welch Funeral Home, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Kittanning, with Rev. Carl Johnson, officiating. Interment will follow in Lawn Haven Burial Estates.
