Nancy J. Hromadik, 85, of Ford City, died Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at The Ridge at Heritage Meadows.
She was born June 17, 1938, in Rural Valley, a daughter of the late Kingsley and Virginia (Reefer) Henderson.
Nancy was a member of Appleby Manor Presbyterian Church, and a former member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ford City, where she served as treasurer for many years. She retired from PPG Industries, Ford City, where she served as a secretary to nine different plant managers. She was also head of the supervisory committee at Armstrong Associates Federal Credit Union.
She was a member of the Jednota and Armstrong County United Way, and was an original member of the Ford City Heritage Days Committee.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 64 years, Paul Edward Hromadik of Ford City; her daughter, Dawn Aldrich of Ford City; her grandchildren, Trevor and Mason Aldrich; a brother, Kingsley O. Henderson, Jr., of Marino Valley, CA; sister-in-law, Doris (Hindes) Herbst of Ford City; brother-in-law, John Hromadik of Westerville, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Donald C. Henderson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joe and Bobbie Gispanski, and Ralph and Janet Wirick; a sister-in-law, Joan Hromdik; and a niece, Diana C. Bure.
Nancy's family would like to thank the staff at The Ridge at Heritage Meadows, and her hospice nurse, Tammy.
Friends will be welcomed from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Monday, at Welch Funeral Service, LLC, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, with Rev. Marty Neal officiating. Interment will follow in Lawn Haven Burial Estates. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Appleby Manor Presbyterian Church.
