William Goodgasell, Jr. Obituary

William A. Goodgasell, 72, of Kittanning, died Wednesday, January 31, 2024.

He was born May 15, 1951 in Kittanning, son of William A.and Alice (Claypool) Goodgasell, Sr .

 William was a former member of the North Buffalo Grace Brethren Church. He formerly worked at Pullman-Standard of Butler in the paint department and then worked as a marine mechanic at the Kittanning Marina..

He enjoyed hunting and fishing, was an avid Chevrolet man and enjoyed working on classic vehicles and restoring them. He enjoyed drag racing his Chevelle. He enjoyed being surrounded by friends sharing memories of the past., But felt the greatest pride watching his grandaughter raise his beautiful great grandchildren and seeing his grandson graduate with two degrees from Geneva College and NCAA Championship in mens volleyball. He will be forever loved and missed by his family.

Surviving are his daughter, Erin C. Goodgasell of Kittanning, two grandchildren, Kirsten (Cody) Armstrong and Devin A. Goodgasell and two great-grandchildren, Paxton A. Armstrong and Saylor K. Armstrong.

William was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Brenda Kathleen (Zellman) Goodgasell, whom he deeply loved and married June 26, 1970 and one brother, Robert Goodgasell.

Friends will be received  at the at the Welch Funeral Service LLC., 1032 Fourth Avenue, Ford City, on Friday, February 2, 2024, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

  Interment will follow in the Salem United Church of Christ Cemetery, Cowanshannock Twp., PA.
