Charlotte Louise Sellers, 92, of Tupelo, MS (formerly of Ford City) died Monday, December 31, 2018, at Avonlea Assisted Living. She was born July 18, 1926, to Ralph Edward and Jennie M. Cunningham Minteer. She worked at Livingood Store where she served as a postal clerk in Manorville, Pennsylvania Post Office before moving to Tupelo in 1969 where she worked as a clerk at the Lee County Tax Collector's Office and Tupelo City Hall. Charlotte loved crafting and was a member of Hannah Circle where she made quilts to raise money for the church. She taught children in Sunday school at her home church, Grace Lutheran Church in Manorville as well as when she moved to Tupelo where she was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her sister, Helen Kijowski; 12 nieces, Sandra, Marsha, Elaine, Jenny, Charlotte, Vickie, Michelle, Diane, Cindy, Carleen, Martha and Kathye; and four nephews, Robert Minteer, Keith Minteer, Ralph Minteer and Gary Kijowski; and a host of great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tommy Sellers, who died Easter day 1983; four brothers, James, Ronald, Robert and Stanley Minteer; nieces, Lisa and Jacqueline; and nephew, Ronald Larry.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time Friday, January 4, 2018 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Tupelo.
Services honoring her life will be 11 a.m. Friday, January 4, 2018 at the church with Pastor David Mac Kain officiating. Committal and interment will be in Ford City Cemetery. Local arrangements are entrusted to the Welch Funeral Home, Ford City. www.welchfh.com.
