Clyde A. DeLong, 90, of Kittanning, died Thursday, August 16, 2018, surrounded by his family, in the ACMH Hospital.
He was born February 9, 1928 in Ford City, son of Donald and Ruby (Hill) DeLong. .
Clyde retired from PPG Industries of Ford City after 47 years of service. He was a member of the Grace Presbyterian Church, Kittanning and was a veteran of World War II, where he served in the Navy.
In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing and trap shooting. He had a love for animals and was a volunteer at the Orphans of the Storm,
Surviving are his wife, Judy (Young) DeLong of Kittanning, daughters, Lisa (Gary) Ward of Kittanning, and Beth (Don) Helow of HI, granddaughters, Rachael (Shelby) Faykosh, and Brock (Cara) Beck, great grandchildren, Sage Faykosh, Archer Beck and Arian Beck.
Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Donald DeLong and his sister Kathleen Ball.
Services will be private and arrangements have been entrusted to the Welch Funeral Home, Ford City. Memorial contributions can be made to the Orphans of the Storm, 11878 State Route 85, Kittanning, PA 16201.
