Deemer A. Stivason, 65, of Butler, died Monday, May 14, 2018, in the Butler Memorial Hospital. He was born May 22, 1952, in Kittanning, son of Deemer A., Sr. and Bernice (Klingensmith) Stivason. Deemer was a Veteran of the Vietnam War, where he served with the U.S. Army. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Sue M. (Gibson) Stivason, of Butler; sons, Travis (Charity) Stivason, of Leechburg, Robert Stivason, of Whitesburg and Brad Stivason, of Kittanning; brothers, William Stivason, of Ford City, Leonard Stivason, of North Carolina, and Gary Stivason, of Duncannon, Pa., one sister, Cheryl (Mickey) Kennedy, of Kittanning; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Deemer was preceded in death by his parents; and one daughter, Amanda Sue Stivason, in 1978. According to Deemer’s wishes there will be no public visitation or funeral service. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Welch Funeral Home, Ford City.
