James P. Pernick, 68, formerly of Ford City, died Thursday, December 13, 2018, at Premier Armstrong Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Kittanning.
He was born September 14, 1950, in Kittanning.
Mr. Pernick was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in 1972. He was a member of the former Holy Trinity Church, Ford City, and enjoyed collecting and displaying model trains. He also loved flea marketing.
He is survived by his cousin, JoAnn Kochman of Ford City, and was preceded in death by his parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Thursday, December 20, 2018, at Christ, Prince of Peace Church, Ford City, with Father Alan Grote as celebrant. Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the Welch Funeral Home, Ford City.
