Jeffrey Robert Popp, 41, formerly of Ford City, died in his sleep Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at his residence in Cary, NC.
He was born May 3, 1977 in Indiana, PA, the son of Robert and Margie (Fennell) Popp.
Jeff graduated from Elderton Jr/Sr High School in 1995 and received his Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Penn State University in 2000. During his career, he worked in property management in Columbus, OH; Cary, NC; Tampa, FL, and most recently for Oakwood Worldwide in Raleigh, NC.
He established roots in the Raleigh area where he had a solid network of friends that became his NC family.
He enjoyed watching football, attending concerts, traveling to visit friends, entertaining friends and family with his cooking, baking, and potent cocktails, and being a fun-loving uncle.
Surviving are his parents; his sister, Jennifer (Sean) Maziarz; nephews, Nathan and Hayden Maziarz; and niece, Lindsey Maziarz, all of Pickerington, OH, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was especially close to cousins Holly Fennell Mellish of Ford City and Kelli Taylor Brinson of Cary, NC.
Jeff was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Mildred Popp and Veryle and Myrtle Fennell, as well as a cousin, Heather Marie Fennell.
Friends will be welcomed at the Welch Funeral Home, Ford City, on Thursday, August 2, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, August 3 at Emmanuel (Heilman) Lutheran Church in Ford City, with a luncheon reception to follow.
