John Lloyd Law, 82, of Ford Cliff, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2018, at Butler Memorial Hospital, surrounded by loved ones.

Born January 13, 1936 in Ford Cliff, he was a son of the late James and Maria (Began) Law.

A lifelong resident of Ford Cliff, he was a staple in the community, and left his mark on many.  In his early years, John worked at Allegheny Ludlum as a steelworker.  He retired in 1998 after 32 years of service. John is survived by his wife, Joyce (Evans) Law; three sons, John (Melissa Deshler) Law of Clearwater, FL, Jeff (Denise) Law of Ford Cliff, and Joseph Law of Clearwater, FL; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, James S. Law of Decatur, IL, and Thomas (Ruth) Law of Connecticut; and three sisters, Sally (Ray) Stitt of Ford City, Annette Law of Florida, and Nancy Law of Indiana, PA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a great-grandchild, and a sister, Marian Varner.
