Opal N. McManus, 90, formerly of Ford City, died Tuesday, November 27, 2018, in Grey's Colonial Acres.
She was born February 25, 1928, in Worthington, to the late Lonnie and Florence (Beck) Klugh.
Opal was a very active member of the Kittanning Free Methodist Church, where she taught both junior and adult Sunday school classes and held many positions. She retired from the G.C. Murphy Store, Kittanning, in 1988 and enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by her children, Cheryl McManus of Kittanning, Charles Thomas McManus of Olmstad Falls, OH, and Susan Jarvis of Sun City, AZ; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Georgia Shay of Grove City; and a brother, James L. Klugh of Greensburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Charles McManus; a son, Harry "Rudy" McManus; and siblings, Florence Miller, Raymond Klugh, Kathryn Parker, Willard Klugh, Willena Santano, and Joanne Harmon.
Friends will be welcomed on Friday from 10 a.m., until the time of service at 1 p.m., in the Kittanning Free Methodist Church. Rev. Forrest States will officiate. Interment will follow at Lawn Haven Burial Estates. Arrangements are entrusted to the Welch Funeral Home, Ford City.
