Robert A. "Bub" Pore, 83, of Ford City, died Saturday, January 4, 2020, at ACMH Hospital.
Born May 8, 1936, in Manorville, he was the son of the late Robert and Grace (Myers) Pore.
He worked as an equipment operator for Manor Township Municipal Authority, and was a co-owner of Armstrong GPS Security Systems for 36 years.
Mr. Pore was a deputy sheriff, and was a life member of the Armstrong County Mounted Posse. He was a life member of the Manor Township Volunteer Fire Department, and belonged to the Old Timers and Past Presidents. He enjoyed wood and leather work, and building train displays. Bub was well-known for being able to fix just about anything, and loved doing so for his friends and neighbors.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Lou (Schall) Pore; his son, Dale Allen (Julie) Pore of Ford City; a grandchild, Alexander Pore; and a sister, Garnet Martinez.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Grace Carli.
Friends will be welcomed from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, in the Welch Funeral Home, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, with Rev.
