Shirley Cravener, 78, of Natrona (formerly of Ford City), died Sunday, April 1, 2018, at her home.
Born October 21, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Harold E. Claypoole Sr. and Goldie R. (Beck) Claypoole.
She loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Debra Henderson of Natrona; her son, Samuel Cravener, Sr., of Ford City; her grandchildren, Samuel Cravener, Jr., Amanda Cravener, Todd Cravener, Jamie Mecca, Louis Henderson, Jr., James Henderson, and Amber Henderson; 17 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty L. Bair.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George V. Cravener, Jr.; a brother, Harold E. Claypoole, Jr.; and step-grandson, Phillip "Bud" Wheelbarger.
Friends will be welcomed from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, in the Welch Funeral Home, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, with Pastor Robert Pascoe officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel Lutheran Cemetery.
