William F. Myers, 72, of Kittanning, died Friday, November 2, 2018, in ACMH Hospital.
Born May 24, 1946, in Kittanning, he was a son of the late Albert and Jessie (Smith) Myers.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served in the Vietnam War. He was employed by the former NUMEC plant in Apollo, and then worked for Turkey Point Power Plant in Florida, until his retirement. Bill also served as the president of the Kittanning Senior Center.
He is survived by three sons, Douglas (Nannette) Myers of Ft. Pierce, FL, Matthew Felton of Apollo, and Daniel Myers of Apollo; five grandchildren; a step grandchild; a great-granddaughter; and his siblings, Pam (Carl) Offredi of Milan, TN, Frank (Sue) Myers of Worthington, Joe (Sue) Myers of Adrian, Jerry (Leeann) Myers of Ford City, James (Brenda) Myers of Kittanning, and Judy (Joe) Johnston of Kittanning, one step son Charlie (Belinda) Sheldon, Homestead, FL a step daughter Celia Perez, 5 step grandchildren and 10 step great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carmen.
Friends will be welcomed from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday in the Welch Funeral Home, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with Pastor Brian Beck officiating.
