Beatrice Luella Haney, 83, of Coraopolis (formerly of Kittanning and Valley Grove, WV) died Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at Good Samaritan Hospice, Wexford.
Born January 29, 1934, in Kittanning, she was a daughter of the late John and Catherine Christina (Stockman) Lockhart.
Bea was an employee of Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV, for 15 years.
She was a member of Dallas Pike Baptist Church, Dallas, WV.
Bea enjoyed camping, making the yearly trip to the Canfield Fair, family, friends, bluegrass, and her beloved dog, Bumbles.
She is survived by two daughters, Resi Lee Fiedler (Timothy) of Coraopolis, and Aletha Jean Brinlee (Kris) of Junction City, KS; one son, Michael B. Haney of Martins Ferry, OH; eight grandchildren, Samuel Kirkland (Angie), Shavon Wiselka, Lynn Burrows (Brad), Matthew Kirkland, Timothy Fiedler, Jr. (Angela), Jon Haney, Nicole George (Michael), and Kaiden Haney; and 15 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard W. "Ben" Haney, whom she married on June 23, 1952, and four sisters, June Renfro, Lyndia Renfro, Pauline Meredith, and Lavona Sigler.
Friends will be welcomed from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Sunday, in the Welch Funeral Home, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, with her son-in-law, Pastor Kris Brinlee, officiating. Interment will follow in Ford City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
