Betty L. Stitt, 88, of Sebring, FL (formerly of Ford City), passed away Sunday, August 26, 2018.
Born March 5, 1930, in Kittanning, she was a daughter of the late Ezra Manuel and Ora Louise (Knepshield) Dickey.
She has been a resident of Crown Pointe Assisted Living, Highlands County, FL, after moving from Pennsylvania in 2011.
Betty enjoyed cooking, dancing, bowling and playing Bingo. She was president of the ladies' auxiliary for the Elks and loved to be with her family.
She is survived by her children, Tottie (Fred) Hupp of Sebring, FL, Allan R. Stitt of Columbus, OH, and Janet (Ron) Price of Lorida, FL; sisters, Doris Kane and Wanda Shaw; a brother, Mike (Linda) Dickey; her grandchildren; Lori Trottier, Fred A. Hupp Jr., Susan Pangborn, Christine Couts, A.R. Stitt Jr, Jason Stitt, Emilie Sears, Andrew Fair, Oliver Fair, and Gracie Davenport; 26 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Ira Gilbert Stitt; her son, Gilbert Paul Stitt; a grandson, Joseph Allan Stitt; and a great-granddaughter; Taylor Thombs.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 29, at 11 a.m., at Emmanuel (Heilman) Lutheran Church, 854 Garretts Run Road, Ford City, with Rev. James Neal officiating.
