Betty Mae (Russell) Schamberry

Betty Mae Schamberry, 91, of Apollo, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017 in West Haven Manor, Apollo, PA.

She was born June 20, 1926 in Hampton Station, TN, daughter of Buck and Tabitha (Bryant) Russell.

Betty spent her childhood and early adult life in Guthrie, KY and Evansville, IN before moving to Ford City. She has made Pittsburgh, PA, her home for the past 20 years.

Betty was an outgoing and energetic person who made friends easily. She enjoyed playing cards, playing bingo and socializing with family and friends. Betty would willingly volunteer her time and energy to help those in need

She was preceded in death by her parents. Betty will be missed by her many cousins and friends.

There will be no funeral services or viewing. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank the staff at West Haven Manor who provided such great care during her time there.

The funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Welch Funeral Home of Ford City.
