Cleora Carol Simpson, 76, of Ford City, died Sunday, August 11, 2024, at QLS Sugarcreek.
Born May 28, 1948, in Kittanning, she was a daughter of the late Fred A. and Rebecca M. (Hamilton) McGuire.

She was a certified nursing assistant her entire career, working at Fair’s Personal Care Home, Sugarcreek Rest, Armstrong County Health Center, and Lifesteps. She is survived by her loving niece, Heather Harvey, with whom she made her home; a brother, Harold (Rebecca) Simpson; numerous nieces and nephews, many of whom considered her to be a second mother; and her faithful canine companions, Maks and Molly Mae.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings: Donald Walker, Alethe (Melvin) Knapp, William Walker, Polly (Anthony) DeSantis, Doris (Frank) Bucko, Fred T. McGuire, Florence (Jesse) Hardy, Catherine (William) Champ, and Gladys (Harold) Harvey.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the employees at Quality Life Services – Sugarcreek for the care they gave Cleora during the last month of her life, as well as Dr. Vogan, Dr. Graham, and Dallas Cousins, CRNP.
