Clifford “Cliff” Wesley Smathers, 87, of North Buffalo Township, left this world on January 9, 2025, to be with his Lord and Savior.
He was born July 25, 1937, to the late John and Vonnie (Campbell) Smathers. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served in the Korean War.
He leaves behind his wife of 61 years, Jane (Barker) Smathers, and two sons, Brian Smathers and Brad (Tricia) Smathers. His only grandchild is Jessica Melton, in Lexington Park, MD, and her son, Titan, her daughter, Isla, along with their dad, Drew Melton. He also has two remaining sisters, Betty Smathers and Roxie Smathers.
He will be much missed by all of us, and by many lovely nieces and nephews, friends from Free Methodist Church, Kings Restaurant, and wonderful neighbors and friends. We love them all, but he asked for no visitation or services.
