Connie L. (Cousins) Zion, 70, of Cadogan, died Sunday, November 28, 2021, in ACMH Hospital.
Born November 2, 1951, in Kittanning, she was a daughter of the late Brady R. and Nellie (Sharp) Cousins.
Connie was an active member of North Buffalo Grace Brethren Church, where she loved to attend and be with her church family. She was employed by The Villa for 20 years as a cook.
She loved being with family and friends, and especially enjoyed spending time and going shopping with her daughter. Her nieces and nephews were also very important to her and she loved them dearly. She liked playing lottery tickets, playing games, and watching game shows with Zander. She also loved her "fur baby" Zeus.
She is survived by her daughter, Kelley L. Zion of Cadogan; three brothers: Charles W. (Leone) Cousins, Sr., of Kittanning, Terry Cousins and his friend, Judy, of Rural Valley, and Larry M. (Marge) Cousins of Freeport; and a sister, Honey (Dan) Zanetti of Cadogan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Zion; five brothers: Monty, Brady, Bill, Jake, and Dean Cousins; and two sisters: Patty L. Smith and Bonnie Thompson.
Friends will be welcomed at Welch Funeral Service LLC, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City, on Wednesday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Additional visitation will take place at North Buffalo Grace Brethren Church, on Thursday, from 10-11 a.m. Services will follow at 11 a.m., in the church, with Rev.
