David D. Cousins, 78, of North Buffalo Township, died Monday, November 24, 2025, at QLS Apollo.
Born March 15, 1947, in Kittanning, he was a son of the late David L. Cousins Jr., and Helen (Miltz) Cousins.
A veteran of the Vietnam War, he proudly served his country in the Army. Dave retired from Penn Allegheny Coal Mining Company.
He attended North Buffalo Grace Brethren Church and was a member of F&M Lodge 244. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to camp, spoiling his grandchildren, and sitting on the porch talking to his brother.
He is survived his wife of nearly 56 years, Sharyl (Lindsay) Cousins; a son, David D. Cousins, Jr. (Jen); a daughter, Michelle Vorpe (David); his grandchildren, Bobbi, Taylor, Alicia, and Hayden; his great-grandchildren, Ava and Isaac; a brother, Richard Cousins; and a sister, Carol Schaeffer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert Cousins; a sister and brother-in-law, Gaynell and Tim Porter; and his stepmother, Pauline Cousins.
Friends will be welcomed from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Welch Funeral Service, LLC, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City. Additional visitation from 2-3 p.m. Saturday at North Buffalo Grace Brethren Chuch.
