Doloris J. Brightmeyer, 86, of Ford City, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2025, in ACMH Hospital.
Born June 29, 1938, in Kittanning, she was a daughter of the late Burleigh and Helen (Forringer) Claypool.
Mrs. Brightmeyer was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Ford City. She was an avid fan of all the Pittsburgh sports teams and enjoyed going to the casino.
She is survived by her children: Susan (Mark) Ferguson of Ford City, Edward Brightmeyer, Jr., of Ford City, Lee Ann Popolis of Kittanning, and Lindi Bricker of Kittanning; her grandchildren: Erin (Chad) McMillen, Sara Patton, Jamie (Chris) Rome, Ben (Kylee) Ferguson, Michelle Brightmeyer, Ian (Taylor) Ferguson, Eric Brightmeyer, Jacob Brightmeyer, Jonathon Bricker, and Rachel Bricker; her great-grandchildren: Andrew, Mara, Alex, Allyson, Elysse, Hunter, Deklan, Jack, and Miles; and many extended family members.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Brightmeyer, Sr., an infant son, Michael Brightmeyer; a brother, Jack Claypool; and two sisters, Donna Grafton and Deanna Heilman.
A private viewing and service will be held for her family. Interment will follow in Lawn Haven Burial Estates. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ford City Public Library. To share memories or condolences, please visit www.welchfh.com.
