Doris H. (Rearick) Kuhn

Doris H. (Rearick) Kuhn, 93, of Cadogan, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 10, 2023.

She was a homemaker, and a former cook and caregiver at Golden Heritage Rest Home.  She was a member of the New Life Center Church in Ford City, where she enjoyed giving the kids candy every Sunday.  Everyone will always remember her famous apple pies and homemade bread.

She is survived by her daughters, Karen L. Riggle of Cadogan, and Nancy (Jeffrey) Styers of Pittsburgh; and her son, Leonard Kuhn and his partner, Larry Czerpak of Pittsburgh.  Also surviving are her granddaughters, Carrie (Lee) Burtt of Kittanning and Juliette Styers of Pittsburgh; and her grandson, Pastor Craig (Bethany) Riggle of Manorville.  She had eight great-grandchildren that she adored: Mattithia, Malachi, Arabella, and Ariana Burtt, and Isaiah, Chloe, Lainey, and Jonah Riggle.  A brother, Ronald (Coralee) Rearick, of New York, also survives.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Blanche (Goldstrohm) Rearick; her husband, Leo Kuhn; a son-in-law, Thomas Riggle; and sisters: Emmagene Keeler, Evelyn Crytzer, Lois Schrecongost, Shirley Kulick, and Ida Mae Aikins.

Friends will be welcomed Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m., at Welch Funeral Service, LLC, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City.  Pastor Chuck King will officiate.  Interment will follow in Pleasant Union Lutheran Church Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.  To share memories or condolences, please visit www.welchfh.com.
