Dorothy M. Galbraith, 90, of Ford City, died Saturday, September 17, 2022, in Kittanning Care Center.
Born September 12, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Laura (Wolfe) Rupert.
Mrs. Galbraith was a member of Crooked Creek United Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed working around her house and listening to music. She also loved to cook, and was especially famous for her macaroni and cheese.
She is survived by her children: Barb (Dave) Folta of Ford City, Timothy (Vickie) Ferris of Ford City, Connie Ferris (Peg Fawcett) of California, PA, and Rev. Thomas (Roxanne) Ferris, Sr. of Kittanning; her grandchildren: Tom Ferris, Jr., Katelyn Petras, and Jessica Miller; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Louise (Fred) Burdett of Worthington.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Francis Ferris; her second husband, Robert Galbraith; sisters, Beverly Grafton and Betty Brandon; and a niece, Kathy Burdett.
Friends will be welcomed on Wednesday, from 10 a.m., until the time of services at 1 p.m., at Welch Funeral Service, LLC, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City. Her son, Rev. Tom Ferris, Sr., Rev. Brandon Petras, and Rev. Marty Neal will co-officiate her service. Interment will follow in Crooked Creek Presbyterian Cemetery.
