Edna P. Yount, 87, of Manor Township, died May 21, 2024, at Allegheny Valley Hospital.
Born September 28, 1936, in Vandergrift, she was a daughter of the late Cloyd and Gertrude (Crawford) Freedline.
Edna was a member of Christ Rupp Lutheran Church. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, knitting, cooking, and baking, and was an avid Steelers fan.
She is survived by two daughters: Vickie Stitt and Renee Ferraro; her stepchildren: Christine Muir, Eugene Yount, John Yount, Raymond Yount, and David Yount; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Victor L. Bowser; her second husband, Orman “Gene” Yount; two sons: Floyd Bowser and Gary Yount; three sisters: Betty, Ruth, and Marge; and three brothers: Harvey, Bill, and Bob.
Friends will be welcomed from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Welch Funeral Service, LLC, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Christ Rupp Lutheran Church. There will be additional visitation in the church one hour prior to service. Interment in Christ Rupp Lutheran Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Laube Cancer Center Patient Care Fund at ACMH.
