Elsie Lorraine Cravener, 84, of Ford City, died Sunday, December 9, 2018, at Kittanning Care Center.
Born January 25, 1934, in Cadogan, she was a daughter of the late Jacob and Lyda Irene (Hanna) Rehak.
Mrs. Cravener retired from Armstrong School District, having worked in the cafeteria at Bethel Elementary. She enjoyed playing bingo, watching old television programs, working crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Melissa Cravener of Ford City, Lydia (Jeffrey) Grantz of Vandergrift, and Paul (Gwen) Cravener of Avonmore;13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Rose Marie Czekanski of Ford City.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Cravener; two sons, Jimmy and George Cravener; two daughters; Peggy Rosenberger and Rose Fyock; a brother, Joseph J. Rehak; and three sisters, Violet Vacula, Shirley Placek, and Helen Jane Rehak.
Friends will be welcomed from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, in the Welch Funeral Home, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City, where a blessing service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, with Father Raphael Glinkowski, O.S.P., officiating. Interment will follow in Simpson Church Cemetery.
