Faith A. Cujas

Faith A. “Gigi” Cujas, 68, of Ford City, died Sunday, July 30, 2023, in the ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, NC.

Born April 11, 1955, in Kittanning, she was a daughter of the late Fred T. and Gloria Faye (Murray) Crytzer.

Faith was a 1973 graduate of Ford City High School.  Growing up, she always aspired to become a teacher. She attended Slippery Rock University, graduating in 1978 with a degree in elementary and special education.  Faith’s teaching career in Armstrong School District began in 1978 at Shannock Valley Elementary.  She then taught at Lenape Elementary until her retirement in 2014.

She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Kittanning. 

Faith would often be seen walking with her friends, Barb, Valerie, and Lynette.  She was known to love the beach, and enjoyed her vacations in the Outer Banks.  “Gigi” was her grandchildren’s most devoted spectator, loving to watch her granddaughters dance, and her grandson play hockey and baseball.  She also loved to read.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Cujas; her daughters: Sarah (Jeff) Say of Culpeper, VA, and Emily (Bob) Ramer of Cranberry Township; her grandchildren, Mady, Bailey, Logan, Maura, and Maci; her sister, Jayne (Chuck) Mansfield of Girard, OH; her nephew, Ben Mansfield and his children, Ella, Adele, and Nathan; her niece, Amy (Noah) Sniderman, and her children, Avery Hadley, and Isaac; and her beloved “granddog”, Libby.

Friends will be welcomed from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Welch Funeral Service, LLC, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City.  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at Grace Presbyterian Church, Kittanning, with additional visitation in the church one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to the JDRF One Walk (Team: Logan's Biggest Fans), 501 Martindale Street, Suite 670, Pittsburgh, PA 15212 or http://www2.jdrf.org/goto/logansfans
