Hazel Louise Guthrie

Hazel Louise Guthrie, 92, of Ford City, died Thursday, July 6, 2023, in ACMH Hospital.

Born March 18, 1931, in Ford Cliff, she was a daughter of the late Herbert Blair and Grace (Quinn) McCollim.

Mrs. Guthrie was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Ford City.

She loved watching game shows, playing games on her tablet, being with her grandchildren, watching 4th of July fireworks, and in her younger years, tobogganing on Hobson Drive.  She loved her tea, and enjoyed talking to people everywhere she went.

Surviving are a daughter, Patricia A. (Lesley, Sr.) Fiscus of Ford City; a son, Merle C. Guthrie of Ford City; her grandchildren: Jennifer (Jeremy) Vensel, Caren Fiscus (Edison Miller), Lesley (Jessica) Fiscus, Michael (Elizabeth) Fiscus, Joshua (Angela) Rearick, Timothy (Michele) Rearick, David (Christen) Rearick, and Seth (Nicole) Rearick; her great-grandchildren: Zachary Dillingham, Jaisa Vensel, Joey Vensel, Chelsey Fiscus, Breanna Fiscus, Cameron Fiscus, Kassidy Fiscus, Autumn Fiscus, Sawyer Fiscus, Hazel Fiscus, Brier Fiscus, Cache Rearick, Levi Rearick, Nathan Rearick, Caylee Rearick, Travis Rearick, Kimberly Rearick, Alexia Rearick, and Anderson Rearick; and a sister, Judy Harriger of Ford City.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Merle C. Guthrie; two daughters: Kathy E. Rearick and Linda L. Guthrie; a brother, Kenneth McCollim; and two sisters, Grace Schall and Jean Croyle.

Friends will be welcomed from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, at Welch Funeral Service, LLC, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, with Pastor Tim Kutch officiating.  Interment will follow in Ford City Cemetery.  To share memories or condolences, please visit www.welchfh.com.
