James A. Wyant, 89, of Kittanning, died Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Quality Life Services, Sarver
He was born February 9, 1936, in North Buffalo Township, a son of the late Thomas James and Martha Emily (Claypool) Wyant.
After graduating high school Jim joined the U.S. Army. He worked for Pollock's Warehouse in Kittanning, and was then employed by Trinity Industries in Butler for seven years. He was a member of the Grace Brethren Church, West Kittanning and attended the Union Baptist Church, Kittanning.
He was a life member of both the NRA and the PA Gun Collectors. He also belonged the PA Rifle and Pistol Association and many of the area sportsmen's clubs. Jim enjoyed shooting and working at both the North Buffalo and Ford City Sportsmen Associations.
He is survived by his sister, Elva Jean Westlake of Kittanning, many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and one great-great nephew.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy (Younkins) Wyant, and his brother, Paul Wyant.
Friends will be welcomed at Union Baptist Church, Cadogan-Slate Lick Road, on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m., with Reverend Jonathan Hill officiating.
