Janet Donna (Toy) Gauker

Janet Donna (Toy) Gauker, 83, of Ford City, passed away January 3, 2017, at Our Family Home, where she had been residing for the past three years.

Janet was born to James C. Toy and Ida R. (Slagle) Toy, on September 8, 1934, in Kittanning. Janet attended Ford City High School and was a member of the Homewood Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with family, working on crafts, and shopping.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Dewey Harry Gauker, who was also a resident of Ford City. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Florence Kutsch, and her brothers Kenneth, Samuel, and Cecil Toy.

She is survived by her children, Dewey E. (Linda) Gauker, Terri A. (Greg) Mckinley, Sandra E. (Marc) Hrabczuk, Janice F. (John) Dermidzakis, and Sally (Bob) L. Conklin. She is also survived by 15 cherished grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Petras and Eileen Clark; and one brother, Larry Toy.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m., Saturday, until the time of a funeral service at 11 a.m., at Mount Union Bible Church, Anderson Creek Road, Kittanning. Interment will follow in Homewood Baptist Church Cemetery.  It was Janet's request that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Toys for Tots, as she loved giving presents to children.
