Janet E. Wolfe, 94, of Ford City, died Sunday, November 14, 2021, at The Ridge at Heritage Meadows.
Born April 6, 1927, in Ford City, she was a daughter of the late William J. and Edith (Bowser) Emmonds.
Mrs. Wolfe was a homemaker, and a member of the Appleby Manor United Presbyterian Church, Ford City. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially at Sunset Camp. Janet was very meticulous with her garden, flowers, and yard. She also loved cooking and baking.
She is survived by a son, Terry (Kay) Wolfe of Ford City; four grandchildren: Mark Wolfe, Molly (Shawn) Sheasley, Kayla Wolfe, and Nikki (Austin) Miller; three great-grandchildren, Diem Sheasley, and Jack and Ben Miller; and a daughter-in-law, Cindy Wolfe.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Ardell Wolfe, on October 2, 2009; a son, Leslie "Les" Wolfe, on September 13, 2016; and brothers, William, Donald, James. Gene, and Richard Emmonds.
Friends will be welcomed from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., on Wednesday, at Welch Funeral Service LLC, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City. Additional visitation will be held on Thursday, from 10-11 a.m., at Appleby Manor United Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11 a.m., with Rev. Marty Neal officiating. Interment in Ford City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Appleby Manor United Presbyterian Church, 810 Main St., Ford City, PA 16226.
