Jeffrey P. Pyle, 58, of Ford City, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022, after a valiant battle with cancer.
Born August 30, 1964, he was the son of the late Theodore P. and Janet E. (Boarts) Pyle.
Jeff was a 1982 graduate of Ford City High School and a 1986 graduate of West Virginia University. He earned his teaching certification in 1991, and began teaching social studies in the Armstrong School District in 1992. He was name “Educator of the Year” by the district in 1999. Since 2005, Jeff was the Pennsylvania State Representative for the 60th District.
An avid outdoorsman and gun enthusiast, he was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed WVU football, as well as the Steelers. Jeff was known to be a “corndog connoisseur”, with “Speedy’s” corndogs taking first place.
He is survived by his wife, Michele (Buccieri) Pyle, whom he married on June 25, 1994; his daughters, Lauren and Katherine Pyle; a sister, Stacey (Todd) Johnson; his nephews, Tanner and Theodore Johnson; Dave Boarts, who was like a brother to him; his parents-in-law, Sam and Karen Buccieri; a brother-in-law, David Buccieri; numerous cousins; and countless friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Black.
