JoAnne (Peck) Lerro, 74, of Ford City, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 22, 2021, in Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born July 30, 1946, in Kittanning, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (Ortman) Peck.
JoAnne was a 1964 graduate of Ford City High School, and attended IUP. She was a member of Christ, Prince of Peace Parish, Ford City.
She was employed as an administrative assistant for Olsen Engineering in Butler.
She really enjoyed watching Jeopardy with family members and always winning. She also loved shopping on QVC. Although JoAnne loved her dogs, planting flowers, and gardening, her greatest joy in life was taking care of her siblings.
JoAnne is survived by her brothers and sisters: Jeanne Tokarek, Robert Peck, John Peck, Nancy Valasek, Marilyn Valasek, Jerry Rizzardo, Sally Liperote, and Susan Nickleach. Dear JoAnne, "Because of you, we are who we are today." Thank you and we love you.
She is also survived by her nieces and nephews: Benjamin, Aaron, Samantha, Sara, Amanda, Adam, Christopher, Perry II, Jonathan, Alyssa, Michael, Daniel, Gabriel, Andrew, Emily Bethany, Suzanne, and Kristen; her stepchildren, Wally and Jennifer; and her beloved dog, Rocky.
JoAnne was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends will be welcomed on Tuesday, from 10 a.m., until the time of a blessing service at 11 a.m., in the Welch Funeral Home, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City. Interment will follow in Lawn Haven Burial Estates. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Orphans of the Storm, 11878 PA-85, Kittanning, PA 16201.
