Joanne Shirley (Crawford) Pfeil

Joanne Shirley Pfeil, 90, of Ford City, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 11, 2026.

She was born August 1, 1935 in Sherrett, Pa to the late Joseph and Idella Crawford.

Joanne worked at the Kittanning Telephone Office and then was a homemaker. She was a very active member of the Appleby Manor Presbyterian Church where she served as an Elder and enjoyed organizing memorial luncheons and serving in other capacities.

Joanne is survived by her husband of 65 years, Matthias, her children, Michelle (John) Miller of Sarver, Douglas (Kimberly) Pfeil of Ford City, her grandchildren Lindsey (Eric) Barclay of Cranberry Twp, Steven Miller of
Pittsburgh and Douglas (Becky) Pfeil of Ford City, along with three great-grandchihldren, Nolan and Tessa Barclay and Abigail Pfeil.  She is also survived by her brother Joseph (JoAnn) Crawford and their daughter Amy (Larry) Gray.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Mona and Janet Crawford and grandaughter Lacey Marie.

Friends will be welcomed at the Welch Funeral Service LLC, 1032 Fourth Avenue, Ford City on Sunday, March 15, 2026 from 1:00-4:00 pm with additional visitation on Monday, March 16 from 10:00-11:00 AM at the Appleby Manor Presbyterian Church where services will follow at 11:00 AM with the Reverend Marty Neal officiating,  Internment will follow at Lawn Haven Burial Estates.
