John W. Clarke, 74, of Homestead, died Wednesday, November 22, 2017, in his residence.
Born February 10, 1943, in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late William Bailey Clarke and Lucile (Rogers) Clarke.
John served as a private 4th class tech in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He retired from the U.S. Postal service, having worked at the North Side Post Office in Pittsburgh, and was a member of the former Lorenz E.U.B. Church.
He is survived by a brother, Rev. Edward (Betty) Clarke of Ford City, and a sister, Mary Telakis of Bonny Lake, WA.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Elwood Clarke and William G. Clarke, and a sister, Annabelle Thomas
Friends will be welcomed on Sunday, from 2 p.m., until the time of a memorial service at 3 p.m., in the Welch Funeral Home, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City, with his brother, Rev. Edward Clarke, officiating. Interment in Homewood Cemetery, Pittsburgh.
