Kathy A. (Davis) Cogley

Kathy A. Cogley, 73, of Ford City, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at 12:50 p.m., with her husband at her side.

Born November 26, 1948, she was a daughter of the late George C. and Josephine (Vent) Davis.

Kathy went to St. Mary’s Parochial School for eight years, then attended Ford City High for four years.  Kathy grew up in Manorville, and moved to Ford City when she started dating Jim.  She and Jim got married on May 16, 1998, and bought a new mobile home at the Scheeren Trailer Court. 

She worked at ACMH Hospital for 27 years, then worked as a caregiver for many families in Ford City and Kittanning.

Kathy liked walking, riding her bike, and country line dancing.  She loved her pets, Teddy and Spike, and her cats, Boots, Socks, Sissy, and her favorite, Baby Doll.  Kathy also enjoyed listening to her husband sing and play the drums.

She is survived by her husband, James B. Cogley; stepdaughters, Brittany and Kayla; brothers, George, Alan and Kevin; nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Kimmy, Ian, and Troy; two great-nephews; three great-nieces; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Helen Cogley; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mike and Karen Cogley; and many other relatives on the Cogley side.  She also leaves behind her dear friend, Patty, who cut her hair, and numerous good friends around Ford City and Kittanning.

Friends will be welcomed from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Thursday, and from 10-11 a.m., the time of service, on Friday at Welch Funeral Service, LLC, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City.  Pastor Jerry Johns will officiate.  A private committal and interment will follow at Ford City Cemetery.  To share memories or condolences, please visit www.welchfh.com.
