Kenneth L. Heilman, 79, of Ford City, died Sunday, October 22, 2023, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot.
Born October 21, 1944, in Ford City, he was a son of the late Clarence and Laura (Campbell) Heilman.
A veteran of the United States Army, he served in the Vietnam War. Ken was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Kittanning, where he served as a deacon.
Prior to his retirement in 2020, he was the executive director of the Armstrong County Community Action Agency.
His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by four daughters: Michele (Jeff) Rosenberger of Kittanning, Paula (Tim) Willyard of Cabot, Tamera (Philip) Luke of Kittanning, and Amanda (Jason) Olbeter of Kittanning; his grandchildren: Brittany (Jon) Willyard, Aaron Rosenberger, Kyle Luke, Samuel Luke, Hunter Olbeter, and Rylie Olbeter; a great-grandchild, Noah Willyard; and a sister, Sally (Lawrence) Carr of New York.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara (Booth) Heilman; two sisters, Esther Dilley and Jeanne Dunkle; and two brothers, Ted Heilman and Thomas Heilman.
Friends will be welcomed from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Thursday, at Welch Funeral Service, LLC, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City. Funeral services will be held privately. Burial will take place in Ford City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ACCAP Food Bank, 326 South Water Street, Kittanning, PA 16201.
