Larry M. "Toehead" Cousins, 92, of Kittanning, died Tuesday, December 27, 2022, in Armstrong Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Kittanning.
He was born August 8, 1930 in St. Mary's, a son of the late Brady and Nellie (Sharp) Cousins.
Larry was a member of the North Buffalo Grace Brethren Church, the Ford City Eagles, and the Ford City VFW.
He retired from Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corporation, Brackenridge. He loved to play softball and golf, and enjoyed playing his guitar.
He is survived by his son, Larry Cousins, Jr., and Jamie, of Kittanning; a son-in-law, Larry Schultz of Kittanning; his grandchildren: Ashley Rae Derstine of Coral Springs, FL, Philip M. (Angela) Schultz of West Leechburg, Nathan M. (Holly) Cousins of Kittanning, and Chase M. (Madison) Cousins of Lower Burrell; his great-grandchildren: Grace, Brayden, Laine, Cooper, Destine, Demi, and Dax Schultz, Liv Hymes, and Nina and Mena Pinkerton; and two brothers, Chuck (Leone) Cousins of Kittanning, and Terry (and friend Judy) Cousins of Rural Valley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Elizabeth Cousins; two daughters, Doris Etta Cousins and Karen Schultz; five brothers: Monty, Donnie Dean, Brady, William and Jerry Cousins; and four sisters: Bonnie Thompson, Pat Smith, Connie Zion, and Honey Zanetti.
Friends and family will be welcomed from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, at Welch Funeral Service, LLC., 1032 Fourth Ave., where a service will take place at 10 a.m., Friday, with Pastor James Rose officiating.
