Lawra J. Bartosh, 73, of Ford Cliff, died Monday, June 1, 2020, at her residence.
Born March 10, 1947, in Charleroi, PA, daughter of Charles and Jane (Frye) Davis.
Mrs. Bartosh retired from the Armstrong School District, after many years of teaching elementary school. She was a member of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees, having been a past president of the Armstrong Chapter, and the director of Region 6.
She was a member of Appleby Manor United Presbyterian Church, where she was also an ordained elder. Lawra belonged to Order of the Eastern Star #277 and Order of Amaranth. She also prepared the meals for all the Masonic Orders.
Lawra enjoyed doing counted cross stitch, reading on her Kindle and camping with her trailer at Slippery Rock Campground. She was also a familiar face at the election polls in Ford Cliff Borough.
She is survived by her husband, Doug R. Bartosh; a sister, Mary K. Davis of Butler; a brother, Lawrence C. (Roberta) Davis of Leechburg; two nephews, one niece, and one great-niece.
Friends will be welcomed from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Friday, in the Welch Funeral Home, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City, where a funeral service will take place at 11 a.m., Saturday. Her pastor, Rev. Marty Neal, will officiate. Interment will follow in Ford City Cemetery. Guests are encouraged to wear a mask or face covering while inside the funeral home.
