Lillian J. Arnold, 88, formerly of Bethel Township, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at QLS-Apollo.
Born February 17, 1937, in Cleveland, OH, she was a daughter of the late of John and Mary (Repak) Plazak.
Lillian was a 1955 graduate of Ford City High School, and was a parishioner of Christ, Prince of Peace Church, Ford City. She was also a member of the Butler Spinners and Weavers Guild, in which she entered "Sheep to Shawl" contests. She loved knitting, sewing, crocheting, spinning, and weaving, and was the seamstress for the Bethel Township Starlettes. She also did clothing alterations for many people.
She is survived by three daughters: Barbara Arnold of Apollo, Pamela (David) Campbell of Ford City, and Joanne (Jack) Carroll of Earlysville, VA; her grandchildren: Leslie (Jon) Hill, Bethany (Brad) Croyle, Melanie Campbell, Zoe Caroll, and Kali Jo (Grady) Foster; her great-grandchildren: Penny Croyle, Colby Hill, Camilla Hill, and Peter Croyle; and a sister, Denise (Raymond) Heavner of Lower Burrell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Arnold, and a, brother, Eugene Plazak.
Friends will be welcomed from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Welch Funeral Service, LLC, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City, where parting prayers will be offered at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 2 p.m., at Christ, Prince of Peace Church. Interment will follow in St. Catherine Cemetery, Leechburg.
