Lois J. Priester, 90, of Kittanning (formerly of Ford City), died Saturday, December 12, 2020, at Premier Armstrong Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born January 18, 1930, in Manor Township, she was a daughter of the late James Earl and Ellen Marie (Klingensmith) King.
Mrs. Priester was a former member of the First Church of Ford City. She was a waitress for 27 years at the Elks. Prior to that, she had worked at Flynn's and Friedland's, both in Ford City. She loved shopping, going on bus trips to casinos, and eating at The Villa.
She is survived by her son, Rick (Sheila) Priester of Cabot; her grandchildren, Elizabeth and Luke; a brother, Ed (Carolynn) King of North Carolina; and her longtime companion and caregiver, Ab Orton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin F. Priester, who died November 15, 1983; a daughter, Kimberly Priester; brothers, Jim, Walt, and Dean King; and her dearest friend, Jean Mohney, whom she considered to be a sister.
Friends will be welcomed from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, in the Welch Funeral Home, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, with Pastor Randy Herbe officiating.
