Louis A. Rich, 74, of Ford City, died Thursday, April 22, 2021, in ACMH Hospital
Born April 18, 1947, in Kittanning, he was a son of the late Vincent and Mary Margaget (Walker) Rich.
Lou was retired from Eljer Plumbingware, and was a member of Christ, Prince of Peace Parish in Ford City.
He was a member of the VFW and the Latin American Club, both of Ford City. Lou enjoyed fly fishing, trap shooting, hunting and woodworking, He also played the guitar.
He is survived by his best friend and companion, Susan Walker of Ford City, his stepchildren, Joseph (Marcy) Walker, Raegan (Charles) Anthony, and Jason (Ashley) Walker; a sister, Margaret "Moog" Rich of McGrann; and a brother, Vincent (Frannie) Rich of Arizona.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James B. Rich; sisters, Mary Katherine Szostek, Geraldine Bidegain, and Baby Mary; a brother-in-law, Harry Szostek; and two nephews, Christopher Rich and nephew, Anthony Bidegain.
Friends will be welcomed from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, in the Welch Funeral Home, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City. Prayers of transfer will be offered at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, in the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m., at Christ, Prince of Peace Church, with The Very Rev. Alan N. Polczynski, VF, as celebrant. Private interment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery.
