Margaret E. (Boyd) Cousins

Margaret E. (Boyd) Cousins, 89, formerly of Freeport, died Saturday, December 3, 2022, at ACMH Hospital.

Born May 23, 1933, in Freeport, she was the daughter of the late Rea and Lois (Claypool) Boyd.

Marge was a member of the North Buffalo Grace Brethren Church.  She formerly worked at G.C. Murphy, Moonlight Mushrooms, Essex of Kittanning, and The Paper Poppy, from which she retired.

She enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, playing cards, sewing, and quilting.

She is survived by her husband, Larry M. “Toehead” Cousins; her son, Larry Cousins (Jamie Moore) of Kittanning; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, James (Susan) Boyd of Kittanning.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Schultz, and a daughter in infancy.

Friends will be welcomed from 1-3 and 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, at Welch Funeral Service, LLC, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, with Pastor James Rose officiating.  Interment will follow in Slate Lick Cemetery.  To share memories or condolences, please visit www.welchfh.com.
