Margaret Elaine Chimka Obituary

Margaret Elaine (Manenski) Chimka, of Kittanning, died Monday, February 17, 2025.

Margaret was born in Kittanning, and was a graduate of Ford City High School  She attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania after high school, and moved to Orlando, FL, to attend nursing school. 

She moved to Titusville, FL, in the late 1960s, married, and started a family before beginning a career with the United States Park Service at the Canaveral National Seashore.  After the death of her husband in January of 2022, Margaret returned to Armstrong County.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Chimka, Sr., her father, William Manenski, her mother, Fedora (Anderson) Wolsonovich, her stepfather, Nick Wolsonovich, and her son, Jason Chimka.

She is survived by her son, Richard Chimka, Jr., and his wife, Jennifer, of Ford City, her daughter, Sara Robinson, of Cocoa, FL, her brother, Nicholas Wolsonovich of Austintown, OH, and sisters, Harriet Otell and Nadine Lukowsky, both of Ford City.  Margaret also leaves behind four grandchildren, Hannah, Dylan, Jacob, and Sofia, and four great-grandchildren, Jadin, Julian, Jaynee, and Alex.

Grief is the price we pay for love.  We give what we can so others can feel love.
