Norman J. Huselton, Jr., 89, of Ford City, died Friday, April 22, 2022, in the comfort of his home.
Born April 26, 1932, in Leechburg, he was a son of the late Norman J. Huselton, Sr., and Mary (Moore) Huselton.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served in the Korean Conflict.
Norm was employed as a welder by P.P.G. Industries, Ford City, for 43 years, retiring in 1993.
Mr. Huselton was a faithful member of the First Church of Ford City, where he served as a deacon for many years. He was a lifetime member of the Kittanning Elks.
He loved collecting stamps, playing basketball at the YMCA and going to his camp at Crooked Creek. More than anything, however, his family was most important to him.
He is survived by his wife, Betty (Myers) Huselton, whom he married on August 2, 1957; his children: Debra McKean (Eric) of Surprise, AZ, Mary Ann Jackson (Marlin) of Ford City, and Norman Huselton III (Traci Fleeger) of Ford City; his grandchildren: Erin Deal (Matt), Michelle Barrios (Victor), Brian Jackson (Stacy) and Garrett Jackson; and his great-grandchildren: Katelyn, Evan, and Vanessa Barrios.
In addition to parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Olga Young and Norma Lace, and his mother-in-law, Mabel Stewart.
Friends will be welcomed from 6-8 p.m. Monday, and from 1-2 p.m., Tuesday, at Welch Funeral Service, LLC, 1032 Fourth Avenue, Ford City. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, in the funeral home, with Pastor Randy Herbe officiating. Interment will follow in Ford City Cemetery.
