Paul G. "Bim" Baillie, 82, of Ford City, died Friday, October 29, 2021 in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born September 20, 1939 in Ford City, son of William and Marion (Goodwin) Baillie .
Bim was an active member of the First Church of Ford City where he served on church council for many years. He was employed Eljer Plumbingware Ford City from 1965 until his retirement in 2002 where he was a mold maker and was president of the local AFLCIO Union.. He graduated from Ford City High School in 1957. He was a veteran serving with the US Army.
Bim spent over 25 years in Ford City Little League, from coach to president, producing several district winning teams and was a fixture at any sporting events, He also volunteered at the Ford City Food Bank for many years. He loved to golf.
Surviving are wife of 56 years, Mary A. (Shernock) Baillie, 3 sons, Bruce (Becki) Baillie of Ford City, Brad (Lisa) Baillie of Kittanning, and Brett Baillie of Meadville, 6 grandchildren: Colin, Claire, Will, Lenlie, Maddie and Nate and one sister, Margaret of Mentor, OH.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Esther,Neil, John, Barbara,William and Marion.
At Bim's request there will be no public viewing or funeral service. The Welch Funeral Service LLC, 1032 Fourth Avenue has been entrusted to handling his funeral arrangements.
