Ralph R. Lindsay, 94, of Kittanning (formerly of North Buffalo Township), died Saturday, December 29, 2018, in Premier Armstrong Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
Born September 9, 1924, in Ford City, he was a son of the late Roscoe and Sophia (Wess) Lindsay.
A veteran of World War II, he proudly served in the U.S. Army Air Force. Prior to his retirement in 1982, he worked as a caster for Eljer Plumbingware. He enjoyed watching sports of any kind, working in his yard, and woodworking. Mr. Lindsay attended North Buffalo Grace Brethren Church.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Julia (Hischuck) Lindsay; his children, Sharyl (David) Cousins of North Buffalo Township, Gary (Maryanne) Lindsay of West Virginia, and Dean (Kim) Lindsay of Greensburg; three stepsons, Mike (Jennifer) Kashur of Chicago, IL, Robert (LaFawn) Kashur of Pensacola, FL, and James (Lisa) Kashur of Houston, TX; seven grandchildren; and seven stepgrandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Gladys Lindsay; a grandson, Robert Cousins; and a sister, Laverne Williams.
Friends will be welcomed on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, from 10 a.m., until the time of services at 12 noon, in the Welch Funeral Home, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City. Rev. James Rose will officiate.
