Robert James Foss

Robert James Foss, 79, of Ford City, died Friday, June 25, 2021, in UPMC Presbyterian.

Born April 15, 1942, in Cedar Lake, Indiana, he was a son of the late Leslie and Lucille (Johnson) Foss.

Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and retired from U.S. Steel South Works in Chicago, Illinois.

He was a member of the New Life Center Assembly of God.  Bob was a familiar face around town, where he would often be seen in the Ford City Park waving to passers-by.

He is survived by his friend, Charlene Layton of Ford City.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at 10:30 a.m., in the New Life Center Assembly of God, Ninth St., Ford City.  Funeral arrangements are in the care of Welch Funeral Home, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City.  To share memories or condolences, please visit www.welchfh.com.
