Robert Q. Southworth, 59, of Ford City, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2026, in his home, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born July 21, 1966, in Louisville, KY, he was a son of the late Gary E. and Mary Jo (Benner) Southworth.
Bob was employed by Manor Township as a road foreman, and also served as the township supervisor.
He loved working on cars, riding his motorcycle, mowing grass, hanging out with friends and family in his garage, and driving, especially to find unique diners and restaurants. He was an avid animal lover and enjoyed his Jeeps. Family was of utmost importance in his life. Bob loved his family and his dog, Candy, and he especially enjoyed vacationing with his grandkids.
Bob is survived by his wife, Andrea (Heilman) Southworth, whom he married on June 30, 1990; his children: Melissa (Chris) Ireland of Gibsonia, Amanda (Dan) Dickens of Dormont, and Andrew Rosol of Ford City; his grandchildren, Isaac, Danny, and Eve; his sister, Sharon (David) Batistig of Shelocta; and many aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Friends will be welcomed at Welch Funeral Service, LLC, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, and from 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of services at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Ford City Cemetery.
