Ruth I. Dzugan, 92, of North Buffalo Township, died Friday, January 12, 2018, in Our Family's Home, Ford City.
Born January 25, 1925, in Manorville, she was the daughter of Emanuel and Flora (Boarts) Swank.
She was a homemaker. Ruth was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Burrell Township, and also attended the First Church of God, Kittanning. She enjoyed playing bingo, and was an avid quilter, belonging to the quilting clubs at Appleby Manor Presbyterian Church and the First Church of God.
She is survived by her children, Fred (Sherry) Dzugan of Ford City, Kathy (William) Boarts of Kittanning, and Chris (Jerry) Metcalf of Downington; her grandchildren, Vaughn (Ed) Underberg of Florida, William (Tracy) Patton of Chicora, Andrew (Stacy) Patton of Ford City, Lyndsay (Mike) Blystone of Ford City, Luke (Olivia) Dzugan of Worthington, Caryle (Terry) Venturino of Gibsonia, and Jeff (Gail) Metcalf of New York; her great-grandchildren, Molly Underberg, Justin, Marra, and Sarah Patton, Austin, Aiden and Alex Patton, Hayden and Tanner Blystone, and Lucy Dzugan; and a brother, Ray (Sally) Swank of Kittanning.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Peter F. Dzugan, and a brother, Donald Swank.
Friends will be welcomed from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Monday, in the Welch Funeral Home, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, with Pastor Gale Winning, officiating. Interment will follow in Brick Church Cemetery.
