Samuel E. Slee

Samuel E. Slee, 77, of Kittanning, died Saturday, January 4, 2025, at his residence.

He was born April 28, 1947, in Apollo, a son of the late Samuel J. and Mary (Morehead) Slee.

Sam was a member of the First Church of Ford City, and retired from Eljer Plumbingware.  He was a past member of Kittanning #1, #4 and #6 Fire Departments. He was also a past member of the Ford City Eagles, the Kittanning Elks and the Mens' Club.

He enjoyed watching movies, reading books, spending time with his family, attending car shows, and going for rides with Jake.

He is survived by three daughters: Mindy Kline of Kittanning, Jamie Moore of Kittanning, and Trena Slee of Blairsville; one son, Jacob Slee of Kittanning; his grandchildren: Nathan Toy, Emily Hoak, Evan Hoak, Kody Kline, Kyia Kline, and Lewis Kline; five great-grandchildren: Lexi Heilman, Noah and Dakota Slee, Addalyn Rusak, and Chance Bryson; and one brother, Gary Slee of Ford City.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judith L. (Hoak) Slee; one son, Brian Lee Hoak; brothers, Fred and Richard "Dickie" Slee; and his beloved dog, Meg.

Friends will be welcomed from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, at Welch Funeral Service, LLC, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City, where services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to help defray the funeral costs.
